A Solemn Farewell: Remembering Peter Kiplagat
Today, we gathered at the Kapnyemisa Home of our colleague, Hon Paul Biego-MP Chesumei, to bid a heartfelt farewell to his beloved son, Peter Kiplagat. The atmosphere was heavy with grief, as we joined the Biego family in their time of loss.
The send-off ceremony was a somber and dignified event, graced by the presence of Rt. Bishop Kimengich, the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret. Thousands of mourners, including prominent figures like HOPS Felix Kosgei, CS Murkomen, Governor H.E. Stephen Sang of Nandi, and H.E. Wesley Korir of Elgeyo Marakwet, came to offer their condolences and support to the grieving family.
The gathering was a tester to the love and respect that Peter Kiplagat inspired during his time with us. Alongside the political figures, there were senators, members of parliament, MCAs, businessmen, and distinguished community residents who paid their respects to the departed soul.
As we remember Peter Kiplagat, our thoughts and prayers are with Hon Paul Biego and his family. May they find the strength to come to terms with their profound loss. May the soul of Kiplagat rest in eternal peace, and may God continue to grant the Biego family the solace and peace they need during this difficult time.
