Education and career day
Careers and Education Day was a resounding success, thanks to the participation of various leaders such as PS, CEOs, Directors, Senators, MPs, MCAs, and many others. The event received significant support from key institutions, including Equity Bank, KCB, National Bank, and Eastern Produce of Kenya, along with Platinum sponsors like Kansai Plascon Paints and Twyford Tiles.
One of the main takeaways from the day was the announcement of a new government funding model aimed at providing full scholarships or comprehensive support to all students from needy families. This initiative ensures that every individual has access to education and skill development opportunities, emphasizing the importance of investing in young people as they are the future.
The focus was not solely on providing young individuals with a sense of purpose or skill development, but also on aiding their personal growth. The event was to stress the significance of nurturing skills in a way that allows young people to take pride in their achievements. The realization of a particular skill’s potential can be invaluable when given the right attention and support.
It was an opportunity for various institutions and sponsors to come together and share knowledge, contributing to the overall success of the day. By bringing leaders, partners, TVETs, and universities under one roof, participants were able to collaborate and enrich the learning experience.
The Careers and Education Day highlighted the importance of equal opportunities in education and skill development for all, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Investing in the potential of young individuals is crucial for creating a bright and promising future. By providing the necessary support and guidance, we can help them develop skills that will not only benefit them personally but also contribute to the growth and prosperity of society as a whole.
