Kenya Forest Service Graduates Celebration

29 Oct 2023

Recently, I had the honor of meeting eighteen graduates of the Kenya Forest Service, young individuals who are embarking on a journey to become stewards of our precious natural resources. To celebrate this significant achievement, I gathered teachers, community elders, and Pastor Samwel Munye to offer our heartfelt congratulations and support as these new Forest rangers begin their important work.

During our gathering, we took the time to celebrate their accomplishments and also impart valuable life skills that will serve them well in their roles as custodians of our forests. We also joined in prayer, seeking divine guidance for their path ahead, trusting that they will carry out their duties with dedication and integrity.
It was an opportunity for me to fulfill a pledge I had made to the Nandi East Head Teachers. I handed over my full sponsorship for their trip to a conference in Mombasa, expressing my genuine appreciation for their tireless efforts in shaping the lives of young pupils. As the son of parents who dedicated their lives to teaching, I understand the profound impact educators have on the future, and I wholeheartedly support their noble mission to nurture and inspire the next generation.

This gathering was a moment of celebration, support, and appreciation for those who are committed to safeguarding our environment and those who are devoted to educating and empowering our youth. It is a reminder of the positive change that can be achieved when communities come together to uplift one another.
