N.A HEALTH COMMITTEE JOINT WITH SENATE HEALTH COMMITTEE & SENATE FINANCE & BUDGET COMMITTEE.
Earlier today as National Assembly Health Committee we joined the Senate Health Committee, led by Vice Chair Sen. Mariam Omar Sheikh, held a joint meeting with the Senate Finance and Budget Committee, Chaired by Sen. Roba Ali Ibrahim.
Held consultative discussions with the East African Community (EAC) Secretariat, led by Regina Ombam (Health Financing Expert) at the Crowne Plaza, Nairobi County.
The discussion centred on the need to boost health care financing through resources mobilisation with the purpose of achieving a quality healthcare services to the Kenyas at large.
Further it culminated the preparation for a further High Level Dialogue discussion scheduled for April 2023 between various Stakeholders including Parliament, EAC Ministry, Ministry of Health, Civil Society, Private Sector, Ministry of Finance, Council of Governors, Development Partners amongst others.
Other Members in attendance were Sen. Esther Okenyuri and Sen. Ledama Olekina for the Senate Health Committee; Vice Chair Sen. Tabitha Mutinda for the Senate Finance and Budget Committee; Vice Chair Hon. Patrick Munene for the National Assembly Health Committee.
