Nandihills Bears Club Event Continues to Foster Career Success

25 Aug 2023

Following the resounding success of the recent Careers Day I hosted in the Nandihills Bears Club, I have diligently pursued opportunities promised by various institutions. These opportunities range from sponsorships and scholarships to enticing job prospects. One such promising encounter occurred during a courtesy follow-up call to the Director General of the East African Aviation School, Dr. Sera Waitiki.

Founded in 1962, the East African Aviation School remains a hidden gem in the world of aviation education, often overlooked despite its impressive standing as the 9th best institution globally for aviation training. This government institution takes pride in offering comprehensive training in various aviation-related specialties, excluding pilot training. From aviation ground support to aeronautic engineering diplomas, Air Navigation Services to Aircraft Maintenance, and Aviation Safety and Security, they cover it all.

I am now exploring avenues to leverage the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and government support to sponsor deserving students who wish to pursue these unique and highly competitive mid-level skills. With Kenya ranked second only to South Africa in Africa for aviation specialties, the aim is to encourage young people in Nandihills to consider this exceptional institution for their career advancement.

The East African Aviation School stands as a tester to the region's potential in aviation education. Nandihills Bears Club's commitment to connecting local youth with such opportunities is a testament to their dedication to fostering successful careers in their community.
