Urgency in Education: A Call for Accountability

17 Jan 2024

In a decisive conversation with the Minister of Education, I emphasized that business cannot proceed as usual until the results of Samoei Secondary School are released promptly. Transitioning from rural advocacy to strategic intervention, I conveyed unwavering determination. Although the discussion with the Minister may have appeared cordial, the gravity of the situation was unmistakable.

Samoei boys and St Mary's girls represent the future generation whose potential is at risk. Their education is not merely about individual growth but the prosperity of our entire community. Education stands as a cornerstone of success, and any delay or mishap in its delivery jeopardizes our collective progress.

Amidst this urgency, there is a glimmer of hope. The white smoke has risen for Samoei, with a commendable score of 9.6+. While we had hoped for a perfect 10+, we accept the results with optimism, knowing that something significant is in store. With fingers crossed, we await the fruition of our efforts, determined to ensure that every child receives the education they deserve.
